EVE, INTERRA, and JASPER in the News

Three EDA companies have released news today. Both EVE and Interra have announced new products, while Jasper is expanding its presence in China and Taiwan.

EVE’s New Emulation System Supports Designs of Up to One-Billion ASIC Gates

EVE announced that its new emulation system ZeBu-Server supports high-capacity designs of up to one-billion application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) gates.

As a result, it meets the demands of high-end processors and graphics designs, and is suitable for all system-on-chip (SoC) verification needs across the entire development cycle, from hardware verification, hardware/software integration to embedded software validation. ZeBu-Server’s scalability serves a broad range of design sizes and styles, from 10-million to one-billion ASIC gates, in increments of 10-million, 20-million or 40-million gates. Used as a multi-user, multi-mode accelerator/emulator, its typical performance is approximately 10 megahertz (MHz) on a 40-million gate design.

ZeBu-Server is priced from $150,000, less than a penny per gate for large configurations.

Interra’s New Vega A/V Sync Product to Support Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Digital

Interra Systems, Inc. announced its new Vega A/V Sync product which supports Dolby Laboratories’ Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Digital. Vega A/V Sync is a new addition to Interra’s Vega family of offline audio/video analyzers.

Interra's Vega family of Analyzers help media professionals analyze and troubleshoot encoded video and audio problems in their products. Vega Analyzers support a wide range of audio and video technologies such as H.264, VC1, MPEG2 Transport, MPEG4, MPEG2 Video, MP4, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital and the AAC Audio standards.

Interra’s Vega A/V Sync enables media professionals to perform synchronization measurements and identify all out-of-sync points in the content. For each sync point, media professionals can examine information such as the packet number, frame number, PTS value, and more. Vega A/V Sync is based on the debug platform of industry-leading Vega Analyzers from Interra.
